The BarrelGuru mobile applications (iOS and Android), the BarrelGuru website (barrelguru.com and its subdomains), the BarrelGuru Library catalog data, all source code, designs, illustrations, photography, written content, audio and video, marketing assets, and the user interface (collectively, the "BarrelGuru Materials") are protected by United States copyright law, international treaties, and other applicable intellectual-property laws. All rights reserved.
You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, sell, license, sublicense, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise exploit any BarrelGuru Materials, in whole or in part, by any means or in any form, without the prior written permission of BarrelGuru, LLC, except as expressly permitted under your subscription or the limited use license below.
Subject to your continued compliance with our Terms of Service and applicable subscription terms, BarrelGuru, LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the BarrelGuru Materials solely for your personal, non-commercial use of the BarrelGuru app and website. This license does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property and ends automatically if you violate these terms.
The following are trademarks, service marks, or trade dress of BarrelGuru, LLC, whether registered, applied for, or claimed at common law:
You may not use any BarrelGuru trademark or trade dress in a way that is likely to cause confusion, that disparages or discredits BarrelGuru, or that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation that does not exist. Any goodwill arising from your use of any BarrelGuru trademark inures solely to BarrelGuru, LLC.
BarrelGuru is a catalog and management tool for spirits collectors. The BarrelGuru Library and the BarrelGuru app reference, describe, and depict distilleries, bottles, brand names, label designs, mash bills, and product histories that are owned by third parties — including but not limited to distilleries, brand houses, and importers.
All third-party trademarks, service marks, trade names, label artwork, distillery photography, bottle illustrations, and brand stories referenced in the BarrelGuru Materials are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion in the BarrelGuru Materials is for nominative, informational, comparative, and editorial purposes consistent with fair use under United States law, and does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, sponsorship by, or licensing arrangement with the respective rights holders, unless explicitly stated.
If you are a rights holder and you believe BarrelGuru's use of your trademark or copyrighted content exceeds what fair use allows, please contact us using the DMCA notice procedure below and we will review your request promptly.
BarrelGuru lets you submit content into the app — including bottle photos, tasting notes, ratings, location names, custom bottle entries, and chat queries to the AI Spirit Companion (collectively, "User Content").
You retain ownership of all User Content you submit. We do not claim ownership of your photos, notes, or any other content you bring to BarrelGuru.
By submitting User Content, you grant BarrelGuru, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for technical purposes such as resizing or transcoding), display, and distribute that User Content solely to the extent necessary to operate, provide, and improve the BarrelGuru product on your behalf — for example, displaying your cellar back to you across your devices, generating embeddings to power AI recommendations for your account, and providing technical features like search.
If you submit a bottle to be considered for inclusion in the public BarrelGuru Library (for example, via the "Add Anyway" flow when a scan doesn't match the catalog), you additionally grant BarrelGuru a license to incorporate the bottle metadata (name, distillery, proof, age, type, etc.) — but not your personal photographs of that bottle — into the public Library if our editorial review accepts the submission.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit any User Content to BarrelGuru, that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights, and that your User Content complies with applicable law and the BarrelGuru Terms of Service.
You may not, and may not permit any third party to:
robots.txt;BarrelGuru, LLC respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users of the BarrelGuru product to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement that are properly reported to our designated agent.
If you believe content available through the BarrelGuru product infringes your copyright, please email a written notice to our designated agent (see § 6.1 below) that includes the following:
We will review properly submitted notices, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material in appropriate circumstances, and notify the user who submitted the affected content. We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
If you believe your content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notice that meets the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We will forward the counter-notice to the original complaining party in accordance with the DMCA.

BarrelGuru is built on a foundation of open-source software. The mobile apps and web admin acknowledge the projects, authors, and licenses of the third-party libraries they depend on. A complete attribution list is available in-app at Settings → Legal → Open-Source Licenses and on request from support@barrelguru.com. Where any of those licenses require notice or attribution, we comply with their terms.
Portions of the BarrelGuru product use generative AI to summarize public information, describe bottles, and generate conversational responses (the "AI Outputs"). AI Outputs are produced from prompts you submit combined with publicly available information and the BarrelGuru Library, processed through third-party model providers under their respective terms.
AI Outputs are informational. They may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or out-of-date information. You should not rely on AI Outputs as a substitute for professional, legal, medical, financial, or appraisal advice, and you should independently verify any AI Output before relying on it for a material decision (for example, before purchasing or insuring a bottle based on an AI-generated valuation).
To the extent any AI Output is independently copyrightable, BarrelGuru, LLC retains any rights in the model-generated portions, while the prompts and original content you contributed remain yours. Use of AI Outputs is subject to these Copyright terms and the BarrelGuru Terms of Service.
BarrelGuru, LLC may update this Copyright Notice from time to time. The current version is always posted at barrelguru.com/copyright with the effective date shown at the top. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email to the address on your account. Continued use of the BarrelGuru product after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
